Affordable Seniors Housing Firm Gold Standard of Care Attracts Top Design Firm

Gold Standard of Care of Fort Lauderdale hires Charles Michelson of the esteemed architectural design firm Saltz Michelson Architects for a makeover to their recently acquired assisted living facility in Broward County, Florida. Through a long selection of many talented professionals, Saltz Michelson’s experience and portfolio of successfully completed projects made their firm the best choice for the property.

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to design this seniors community for Gold Standard of Care of Fort Lauderdale. We believe there is real potential here to erect something beautiful within an affordable seniors living model. Managing this 105-bed assisted living community will be Colonial Assisted Living.

“We couldn’t be more pleased in Saltz  Michelson’s decision to accept this project,” admits GSC’s founder Michael Verbitsky. “Charles Michelson is amongst the best architects I’ve seen in the nation within the space of health care architectural design. In conjunction with the management team at Colonial Assisted Living, we are eager to deliver and turn around a community that will make both the City of Lauderhill, along with neighboring seniors, say 'wow.'”

During improvements, the community will operate and continue its lease up. “We are eager to have Colonial Assisted Living as operators. Ricki Kaneti and Colonial have had phenomenal success in turning around similar communities and effectuating real positive change within their portfolio of all communities they manage,” added Mr. Verbitsky.

“We are both excited and grateful to be awarded the management contract for this 105-bed AL. This community is much-needed in an area where there are two extremes of seniors housing facilities - either ultra-luxury or underperforming assisted living. We look forward to being able to offer a perfect median of a luxurious feel at a comfortable cost and bring value to the Broward County area with the new Colonial Assisted Living of Fort Lauderdale," says Colonial Assisted Living’s founder Ricki Kaneti.
